Yukio swears the delicate tick tick tick of his wristwatch is mocking him. A glance at the clock face tells him he's been sitting in this coffee shop alone without ordering anything for a full sixteen—no, seventeen minutes. A glance back up tells him that no one has entered in the few seconds he wasn't looking at the door. He's pretty sure his blind date is not coming.Or maybe he's wrong and they're just horribly late. That seems highly unlikely, though, considering he called them about five minutes ago and got sent to voicemail. (He did not leave a voicemail. No way in hell was he making even more of a fool of himself. Leaving a voicemail would be akin to leaving evidence of his naivety.) And, of course, he tried texting first but to no avail, hence the attempted call. They also haven't texted him saying they'd be late.... Yeah, he totally got bailed on.
